Insurance and Billing

Retina Vitreous Associates participates with Medicare and most other insurance plans. Please be aware that if you are covered by a managed care policy (HMO, PPO or POS), you may need to obtain authorization and/or a referral for each visit.

When you visit Retina Vitreous Associates for medical care, you undertake a personal financial obligation. All deductibles and co-payments must be made at the time of your visit. If you do not have insurance or anticipate a problem paying for services, our staff will provide financial counseling and will answer any questions you may have.

Providing our staff with correct information will assist us in working with your insurance company. Please let us know if your insurance coverage changes. If there is no response, or we have problems with your insurance company, we may request that you contact them. The balance owed may become your responsibility.

Our charges reflect the time, skill, and training required by or physicians to diagnose and treat complex retinal and vitreous problems and are consistent with the customary charges of the medical community.
